Gene began his studies in 1983 at the Topeka Judo Academy (Carbondale, Ks.) where he studied both Shoto-Kai Karate and Judo/Jujitsu under Instructor Ron Vowell; in 1988 Gene took a break from Martial Arts when he enlisted in the United States Armed Services, in 2001 finding a home at Omega Martial Arts (Parker, Co). He again studied Judo/Jujitsu under Robert Davis and W. Dieter Reitzig. Gene currently holds the rank of Nidan 2nd black belt and is committed to teaching the core principal’s judo has to offer.
In 2009 Gene developed the Omega Martial Arts Judo program a traditional Kodokan curriculum, which focuses on both teaching the physical skills of judo while applying core values aimed at bringing out the best character and physical potential in each student. Gene currently holds the position of administrative director at both the Parker and the Omega White Tiger Schools.
In 2009 it was Sensei Dieter’s technical expertise and collaborative efforts that made it possible to develop the Omega Martial Arts Judo program. Sensei Dieter currently holds the position of technical advisor at both the Parker and the Omega White Tiger Schools.
